Tapeworms
Tapeworms are the long flat worms that attach themselves to your dog’s intestines.  You can sometimes see them on your dogs rectum or when they use the restroom.  If you worm your pet a you will see the long worms that look like spaghetti in there still the next day if the dog has them..  Dogs commonly contract tapeworms from fleas and rodents.  Though there are few symptoms associated with tapeworms, it is still important to treat them as soon as possible.  You can do this with over the counter medicine.
Whipworms
The whipworm is a common intestinal parasite in dogs. The parasites reside in the cecum, where the small intestine and large intestine meet. Whipworms can be difficult to diagnose because there are few signs of infection, so regular checkups are important.
